    Terms & Conditions

Everything you are agreeing to when you book me, written plainly. If anything here is unclear, ring me and I will talk you through it — I would much rather answer a question now than have a surprise on the morning.

    01Booking & your deposit

A 40% deposit is what secures your date. It comes off your total, so it is part of what you were already paying, not an extra.

Your quote will always show you three numbers: the all-in total including travel, the deposit, and the balance left to pay on the day. I send a Square payment link for the deposit.

The deposit is non-refundable. It holds your date, and it means I turn other work away for it.

    02Paying the balance

The balance is due on the day, at your appointment. Cash or PayID to 0405 402 432 is easiest for both of us.

Where a trial and a wedding day are booked together, the deposit usually covers both and the balance falls on the wedding morning. Your confirmation email spells out exactly what is owed and when, so nothing is left vague.

    03Travel

I am mobile. I come to you — your home, your hotel, wherever you are getting ready — so there is a travel fee on top of the services, and it scales with the distance.

It starts at $30 for the eastern suburbs and rises from there; somewhere about ninety minutes away sits closer to $110. Your quote always shows travel as its own line and folds it into the all-in total, so the number you are told is the number you pay.

I need the suburb you are getting ready in, which is not always the suburb of your venue. Tell me the one where I am actually arriving.

    04Timing on the day

I allow 50 minutes for each service — one face of makeup, or one head of hair. That is deliberate. It is the difference between makeup that is applied and makeup that is properly blended, and it means nobody in your group is rushed.

So I do not ask what time you would like me to start. I ask what time you need to be completely ready, then work backwards and tell you my arrival time. Six services is five hours; eight is six hours and forty minutes.

I arrive about ten minutes before the start time to set up, and I bring everything we need. I will start as early as the morning genuinely requires — before dawn if that is what your ready-by time asks for.

    05Trials

A trial is not compulsory, and I will never pretend it is. I do recommend one for brides, because it is where your look gets settled properly — so the wedding morning has no decisions left in it, only the doing.

    Trial pricing
    Makeup trial$150
    Hair trial$100
    Both together$250

Trials are booked and paid the same way as any other appointment, with travel on top. Bring photographs of anything you love and anything you hate — both are useful.

    06Larger groups & hair

I work on my own. For a smaller group I can comfortably do both the hair and the makeup. Past roughly five or six people wanting both, twelve services becomes a ten-hour day and I cannot deliver that well single-handed.

For those larger groups I take the makeup for everyone, and you book a hair stylist whose work you love for the same morning. I am very happy to work alongside whoever you choose.

This is genuinely the better version of the day, not a compromise. Two of us running at once means we tag-team people rather than queue, and your whole getting-ready window comes down substantially.

    07How to prepare

Before I arrive, everyone being done should:

    • Come with a freshly cleansed, moisturised face
    • Have hair washed and completely dry — ideally washed the night before, as clean dry hair holds a style far better than same-day washed
    • Drink plenty of water in the days leading up; it makes a real difference to how skin takes makeup

Optional, but they make a lovely difference:

    • Dermaplaning beforehand — going over the face with a small face razor to take off the peach fuzz — helps foundation sit beautifully, especially on mature skin
    • Pick up a lip colour you love from Mecca, Myer or Sephora, so I can apply it and you have it on you to top up through the day

    08Skin, allergies & lashes

Please tell me before the day about any allergies, sensitivities, recent skin treatments, or anything you know your skin reacts to. I would far rather adjust my kit in advance than find out on your wedding morning.

False lashes are included in the makeup service. If you prefer your natural lashes curled, please do it yourself before I arrive — I do not curl lashes, purely for safety.

I work with a wide range of skin; mature skin and natural, healthy bases are what I specialise in. If you have a specific concern, raise it at the trial or on the phone and I will tell you honestly what I can do with it.

    09Photographs

I often photograph my work on the day and may use those images in my portfolio and on social media. It is how people find me.

If you would rather I did not, just say so — before, during or after the appointment. There is no awkwardness in it, and it changes nothing else about your booking.

    10If something changes

Dates move. If yours does, message me as early as you can and I will always do my best to carry your booking across to the new one.

If I ever have to cancel on you — illness, or something genuinely outside my control — you get your deposit back in full, and I will tell you the moment I know rather than leaving you guessing.

    11Under 18s

I do a lot of school formals and I love them. For anyone under 18, the booking should be made by a parent or guardian, and someone should be contactable at the address while I am working.
